I have just read the most amazing proof of a book. I think it is due to come out in March next year. The blurb says:
Thomas sees amazing things that no one else can see:
tropical fish swimming in the canal,
sparrows playing bright trumpets and
frogs wriggling through the letterbox.
When his father hits his mother,
Thomas sees the angels cover their eyes and weep.
It is such a beautiful story and it so wonderfully written. It is translated from the Dutch and is about Thomas who has the most vivid imagination and how he sees the world. It had me crying from almost the first page but it's also very funny. Quotes I can remember are things like:
"The angels tried to cry but their hankies were so full with tears that it rained over the whole earth and even the deserts"
"Thomas heard a russle from above, the angels were clapping"
The other thing is that when Thomas closes his eyes, he sees Jesus. When he gets beaten by his father, he believes that God gets beaten out of him and there is this wonderful conversation between Thomas and Jesus about God dying and how Thomas thinks he is to blame.
It's only a very short book of about 100 pages and I highly recommend you read this book when it comes out next year.
