The Trivia Night on Friday was a huge success. We had 8 tables booked, planned for about 12 and then 14 turned up!
We made a profit of about $1,400 on the night which is so fantastic and now I feel I can pay for the venue hire, musicians, insurance and whatever other costs may come up. Thank you to everyone who gave me questions and ideas.
On Saturday night the boy and I drove to a restaurant in the country (about half an hour from where we live). It's called Grazing and is situated in Gundaroo. It was the most amazing meal - for entree I had tempura zuchinni flowers stuffed with olive tapenade with orange poppy seed sauce and a bit of fetta. For mains I had a beef, guinness and mushroom pie with a side salad. For dessert I had a chocolate mocha pate with a brandy snap-type wafer and an orange sauce. The food was absolutely divine and the service was brilliant. We rolled out of there a while later and went home.
On Sunday, the boy and I joined up with various other Australian wibloggers for a late lunch. It was great to see everybody again and we had a great laugh and chat. With petrol the way it was and the fact that we drove for about 3 and a half hours all up to get to lunch and back it was a tad expensive - but totally worth it!
