Well. I dunno what to say. So many entries bubbling round my brain, but I think I'm going to go for the basic introductory post. So, boring biographical details ahoy...
Those of you who are shipmates and members of the London and/or Croydon meet massive will know me; I'm Mrs Spike. I'm one of those on the All Saints 'Lose 4lb a month' pledge, and I warn you now that this blog is likely to feature some comments about food and weight. However, these will NOT be of the 'arrrgh, I ate a whole cake this evening, I'm sooo bad and deserve to be beaten with sticks of celery' variety.
I'm 33 and live in South London, although I'm originally from Cambridge. I live with my husband (qv), who is a pest control technician, and a large fluffy tabby cat called Baldrick, who has been known to do some pest-controlling himself ('look at this lovely disembowelled baby rat I left in the front room for you!'). I'm a clerk in the legal department of a large public-sector organisation. I go to an Anglo-Catholic church, although that's not my own tradition - I'm what you might call a post-evangelical, and I shall probably explain what I think that is at some point as well.
But for now, I have to think about getting to Sunny Croydon for a Ship Meet. I haven't been to one for a while, so I'm looking forward to it. Wonder if we'll be able to get a table to ourselves using Dave W's patent method of announcing to our neighbours 'Hello, we all know each other from a Christian internet discussion board. Would you like to hear about it?'
