Oh, about the job application ....

Got an interview, didn't get the job. All good experience I guess.

There's also been a change-round at w*rk which has given me a bit more freedom to structure the job my way. However, at the end of this first week it's also given me shed-loads more work, and had me coming home late, exhausted and cross. Hopefully, this should ease off in a week or two; I don't intend to work at this pace indefinitely. I also intend to start getting up a bit earlier (sigh) because that means with flexi-time I have the choice of a) have a longer lunch break, b) go home earlier c) work till 5pm and have some time saved up towards a day off. Any of these options are better than the arriving-at-9.30 options which are a) go home at 5, leaving a few minutes' deficit and work to catch up on tomorrow or b) stay after 5pm and enjoy the delights of rush-hour at Victoria Station.

There is another snag to the early-morning option, of course - I hate getting up in the morning. In fact:

I hate getting up in the morning,
And doing my work every day.
I'd rather stay in and watch telly
And eat lots of chocolates, and play.
