The Incredible Shrinking Weekend

Well. Yesterday I went and change my library books, went to Sainsbury's, cooked us some tea and went to a friend's carol concert (v good) then met her for a drink afterwards. Then we had a frustrating journey home - just 5 stops on the train, depending on where you change, but due to cancelled and delayed trains it ended up taking over an hour and a half and involving a taxi.

Today we went to Mass, then had a roast lunch, and suddenly it's almost bedtime (early shift tomorrow :-(). Where did all the time go? I wouldn't want you to think that I've spent any time this weekend lying in bed reading, or messing around on the net, or sleeping ...

This morning's Mass included a baptism (of a girl old enough to make her responses along with her godparents, and to grin from ear to ear while she stood at the font!). Making the congregational responses made me feel that we're a part of that church now. I'm not sure yet whether it'll be temporary or permanent, but I find I'm hoping it's the latter.
