Note to self: Liturgically, yes, Christmas does not start until 25 December, and runs until, erm, Epiphany (I always get confused here). This means that it is quite correct to sing Christmas carols until into January, and not to put your decorations up on 1st December and take them down on Boxing Day. Sending out your cards so they arrive sometime between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, however, remains just plain pagan disorganised.
Well, tomorrow is my last day at w*rk for, ooh, five whole days (then I get another 5 days off, so I'm not feeling toooo sorry for myself). Twenty-five years ago I would have been taking Connect Four, Ker-Plunk and a tin of sausage rolls to school. Tomorrow, after I've got in at stupid o'clock as it's my turn to produce our team's early morning submission, it's probably a case of chatting, noodling around on the Internet (just for a change) and waiting for some Management person to come past just after lunch and say, 'You all still here? Go home!'
