For some years, SBW and I have deplored the existence of those little plaques you can get to hang in the bathroom, usually decorated with cutesy children, curly letters and sometimes with old-skool eighteenth-century capitalisation:
'If you Sprinkle when you Tinkle ~ Be Sweet and wipe the Seat'
We have often wondered how we could make this 'way to make your guests feel relaxed and welcome' request less, well, twee. This afternoon - it came to me:
'If you Miss when you Piss ~ Don't be a Hog, clean the Bog'
I was - where else - in the loo when I thought of this. In the loo at work, in fact, so this piece of poetry was sponsored by the Home Office.
