Well, my project for the summer is to declutter Norwood Mansions, and have it done by the time we go on holiday in mid-September (yay for holiday!). My broken-down-into-manageable chunks mini-goal is to have the kitchen done by the end of Saturday 21st, so I shall let you know. More on the clutter monster later.

Tomorrow we're off to Walsingham for the weekend with church. I first went there on a quick lunchtime visit when I was at school, and then went about five years ago for a weekend with our old church. Some things at Walsingham - liturgical worship, space to contemplate, fresh air - suit me very well. Other things - Benediction, devotions to Mary - are odd to me. Then there are things - the Walsingham Pilgrim's Hymn, the Feet Chapel, the tacky religious knicknack shops, which all but a few Very Serious Ultracaths just take for a laugh.

At this point, I'm deleting any serious reflections in an attempt to save the usual epic post till I get back. I'm looking forward to taking some time out, and spending some time with folks from church away from church, if you see what I mean. Have good weekends, y'all.
