Passing the test on Friday got me thinking about the next steps my life is/will be taking in the next few months and years. I know that ordinarily a driving test wouldn't spark particularly philosophical thoughts (although stranger things have happened!), but passing that test was one of the hurdles I knew I had to get over to get the job that I'm looking for, which is what I'm aiming for at the moment. It was mentally an obstacle that I had to get past, which I was determined to do (however long it took!), and I did it. So on to the next...
Now comes the task of finding the right job (easier said than done!), getting it (even less easy!), finding/deciding where I want to live (this related to the first two, no matter how much I want to stay where I am), at the same time as working out what God wants me to do with my life, even if its just this next small bit of it.
I'm a firm believer in following these dreams, and striving to achieve them, no matter how hard it may seem. It might just be stubborness, but there's something in me that just won't give up. This is something I notice in others more than in myself, and Pippa sums it up wonderfully with this quote, which in itself sums up her attitude to life at the moment. All I can do is try and do the same.
