Another one of those weekends (and weeks, come to think of it!) where I just don't know where to start.
Last week was a little crazy, with running round after my supervisor (who has, I think, now left the country for a month or so- very helpful!), trying to track down someone at the CCW Swansea office (who never seems to be there) so that I can look through some of their papers on Oxwich, getting my WISE package ready to send off and dealing with the (unwanted) attentions of a certain male friend. He appeared to have taken my being friendly (having a conversation with him at one point- evidently meant I was interested ;)) for something else, and took to sending multiple text messages and asking me to go for evening walks with him! I guess I should be flattered, but I think scared was more accurate. Anyway, I set him straight (I hope) and we'll see what happens in September...
After this though, I went with Jen to Aberystwyth to visit a friend who's been working there for the last month or so. Leaving Friday morning and returning to Swansea Saturday evening, we spent an enjoyable two days chatting and catching up- with three girls together there was no chance we were going to run out of things to say!!! We also managed to fit in a trip to the Red Kite feeding centre and wander along Aberystwyth beach and through the castle as the sun set. Om Saturday we had a lazy morning chatting and eating croissants for breakfast, and then visited a local farm where we went strawberry-picking! It was then back to Aber for coffee and cake in a lovely coffee shop (which sold fairtrade coffee and tea!) and a wander round some shops before catching our bus back. Thanks to you both for a lovely two days :)
The weekend was finished off nicely with a visit to Alice and Benjamin's flat for lunch after church, which ended when I left about 9.30 in the evening!!! A relaxed and enjoyable afternoon sitting outside in the sun talking about this and that, and taking advantage of the luxury of a garden and enjoying the company of good friends.
All in all one of the best weekends I've had in a long time :)
