Dammit.

So, I finally dragged myself down to the doctor to go "eurgh, pins and needles and numbness and tingling in my hand, make it stop."

Apparently, I have some sort of Work-Related Upper Limb Disorder*, actual one to be decided by a process of elimination.

The pins and needles and so on is occurring across all my fingers in my right hand, which indicates problems with both my radius and ulna nerves.

First step in the process of elimination is an X-ray of my neck tomorrow, to see if I have arthritis**. "If we find no arthritis, we'll diagnose you as having carpal and radial tunnel syndromes, and stick needles in you. If you have arthritis in your neck, we'll point and laugh and say 'har har, you're screwed.'"

If I don't have arthritis, there's every possibility I have both Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Radial Tunnel Syndrome, which, whilst impressive, can at least be fairly easily fixed in the early stages. Mmm, cortisone. We like drugs.

But, as I said to the doc this morning "looking on the bright side, I'm left-handed. I can still lift a glass of wine, therefore it's not that bad."

*That's Repetitive Strain Injury, to you and me.
**I'm thirty. I'd better not have, or I shall be having Words.
