Christmas officially finishes on Saturday 2nd February (Candlemass).
Lent starts on Wednesday 6th February with Ash Wednesday.
Aieeeeee, the stretch of Ordinary Time from Pentecost to Advent is going to be a long one this year.
Still, looking on the bright side, my birthday won't be on a Friday in Lent this year. Birthday dinners should not consist of curried lentil and lime soup and no cake.
