I especially hate shopping in a rush at lunchtime on Oxford Street. I need some suits for this business trip to Paris, so I had a quick look on Next & Marks & Spencer's websites, found a couple of nice suits I liked, and trundled off to have a look.
Except everything was the wrong colour. Or if it was the right colour, it was the wrong shape. If, by some wild chance, it was the right colour and shape, they only had either the jacket or the skirt in stock, not both. If they had both in stock, the fabric set my teeth on edge. If they had the right colour and shape and both items in stock and it was nice fabric, it was the wrong size.
I wonder if one of the tailoring places on Regent St could make me a suit in 24 hours?
