Landed a few minutes early at Heathrow, huge queue at Immigration, but not as huge as the one for non-EU passport holders, got my bags and the poster roll (yes, I bought posters. Yes, I am mad). Lumbered off to the Tube (yes, I should have got a baggage trolley. No, I didn't. See above comment re: my sanity). The holdall with my lace pillow, pillow stand and clothes in it was getting heavier by the second. Got the Tube to my nearest station, (was not popular at Green Park when I got on to a crowded train with my bags. Sorry, people), then lashed out on a cab so I'd have half a chance of getting home before my arm dropped off. Sorted my laundry, had a bit of a sleep, (I couldn't sleep on the plane because every time I tried, the small baby two rows behind let out an almighty shriek, and despite not having any children myself, I think it's hard-wired into the XX chromosomes that Thou Shalt Wake Up When A Baby Cries), hung laundry up, thought about sorting photographs, but not very hard, and now I'm about to have dinner. I am very glad I did some cooking for the freezer before I left.
