To Rosaparents' again, clutching fabric (miles of), thread (ditto), patterns (one, and one on order), and shoes (absurd). this top (view C) is nearly made, in a sort of dusky lilac colour, and I'm coming back in a couple of weeks to make View B, providing John Lewis send me the pattern - it's not in stock, and is therefore on order. If it doesn't turn up, there will be Trouble. After persuading the woman in the fabric shop that no, I don't want to spend £69 a metre on fabric I need 5 metres of, I bought something considerably cheaper and very similar in colour (dark grey).
And I have rescued a scrap of the lilac silk so I can paint my toenails to match :-)
