I'm not sure I blame the children here. I think it's a failure of catchesis, from the parents, from teachers, and so on. Also, I think it's a failure of basic good manners - both from the parents, who have clearly not sat and thought "how will this action [giving my child a computer game to play with during Mass] impinge on other people?" and from the children, who may not even realise that their actions can be a distraction to other people. I don't know, it's difficult, and like I say, I don't have children, I don't have any experience in trying to keep a child amused during a church service.
