"Praise to You, oh Christ, King of Eternal Glory..."

This replaces the alleluia during Lent, at the Gospel acclamation and in other places. It's been running through my head non-stop since yesterday, a hymn of praise to my Lord and my God, Who has lead me to Him along a road that's often wandered and rolled, and occasionally come to a grinding halt whilst a large boulder was dynamited out of the way. OK, the road metaphor's getting a little strained, we'll stop that now.

Yesterday was beautiful, even if I was shaking so badly with nerves that at one point I spilled molten candle wax all down my hand.

I could really feel the support of the great Saints of the Order, our Holy Father, St Dominic, St Catherine of Siena, St Catherine of Alexandria, St Mary Magdalene, St Thomas Aquinas, and all the others, those proclaimed as Saints by the Church, and those known only unto God.

I was also supported by both my parents - Rosadaddy came as well as Rosamummy, which made me happy.

And answering your colleague's idle "so what did you do at the weekend, then?" enquiry with "made temporary profession in a religious order," can either stop all conversation dead or result in a barrage of further questions, and the crafting of a lengthy e-mail.

Thank you all for your prayers, good wishes and compliments - the outfit came from good old Marks and Spencer's.
