I'd been somewhat concerned about the gash on my leg, and was worried that I'd managed to get it infected, so off I limped to the NHS walk-in hobble-in centre in Soho yesterday evening. I saw a lovely nurse, who was happy it wasn't infected, but she could see why I thought it might be - it's very angry-looking and quite painful when I walk - so she's put an iodine dressing on it which I need to keep on for three days (hoo boy, showering was fun this morning), and told me what to look out for as signs it is getting infected, and if it does, I'm to go straight back.
I should have taken a photo of my leg all tied up with plastic bags and string to try and keep the dressing dry. I didn't. Sorry.
