I completely forgot to post that yesterday, May 8th, is one of the major Dominican Feasts, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, and the celebration of the patronage of Our Lady over the Order.
So, Happy Feast Day to all the Dominicans out there, and you can find a bit about the Rosary here. Yes, I wrote a post about the Rosary in November, month of the Holy Souls, instead of October, month of the Rosary. Sigh.
And with thanks to Brother Lawrence for the collect for yesterday:

Who for the salvation of souls didst place
The Order of Preachers
Under the special protection of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary,
And was pleased to pour out upon it her constant benefits:
Grant unto thy supplicants
