Apologies for silence, I am still alive, honest

I've had nothing to say, and have said it frequently on twitter, but nothing worth turning into a blog post. And I realised the other day that I have had no free weekends since the middle of August. This has, perforce, cut down on the amount of time I've had to craft my pointless blatherings devastatingly witty and insightful posts.

My heaving social diary has looked something like this:

(All dates cover the whole weekend, unless otherwise stated):

15th August - mum & dad's
22nd August - Wedding#1
29th August - family in London
5th September - Trip to Bath (just the Saturday - part of my new "I want to visit all the World Heritage Sites controlled by the UK, although I suspect visiting Inaccessible Island could prove tricksy" plan)
12th September - Hull
19th September - Wedding#2, Baptism#1
26th September - Baptism#2
4th October - Lay Dominicans (just the Sunday).

I don't even want to think about how many photos I have to process, and I'm deathly afraid that my laundry pile is about to achieve sentience and devour me in the night. It has been lots of fun, and lovely to catch up with friends and relatives, but busy busy busy!

However, it does look like the major source of "I've developed a nervous twitch and a weird stress-related rash at the corner of my eye" stress is finally, finally calming down (don't want to say too much on here, but those who know, know what I'm talking about), so I may be back on something approaching an even keel* fairly soon. For those of you who measure how stressed I am by the state of my nails: "short, but neatly filed and buffed to a nice glossy shine." This time two months ago: "bitten to the quick, three infections where I'd ripped out hangnails."

Onward!

*for a given value of "on an even keel."
