Oooh, three day weekend! And since I'm not going to Greenbelt, due to poverty and a pathological dislike of Portaloos, I do believe that means more walking.
Saturday: Stage 2 of the Capital Ring, Falconwood to Grove Park, with a diversion to visit Eltham Palace . Then possibly stage 3 ( Grove Park to Crystal Palace) as well, depending on how long it takes to go round Eltham Palace.
Sunday: Either stages 3 and 4, or 4 and 5, depending on if I get stage 3 done on Saturday or not.
Monday: Stages 5 and 6, or 6 and 7.
Stage 4 is Crystal Palace to Streatham, Stage 5 is Streatham to Wimbledon Park, Stage 6 is Wimbledon Park to Richmond, (I'll keep an eye out for wombles, naturally), and stage 7 is Richmond to Osterley Lock, on the Thames.
Each stage is between 3 and 7 miles, so it's perfectly feasible to do two stages in a day.
Lunch is already made for Saturday (only because I generally make two days' worth of lunches for work at a time, rather than because I've achieved Stepfordian levels of organisation), a bottle for water, some mixed dried fruit (for nibbles along the way), and Penguins (because they're Traditional, you can't go walking without Penguins, it's The Law). And sun block, because, due to the power of positive thinking, the weather is going to be glorious all weekend. It is. No, really. Stop sniggering at the back there.
There will be full reports (with photos, obviously).
