shhhhh...

it's the middle of the night, and no one else is up... (er, well, since i live alone i guess that doesn't matter. but i can't play loud music at the moment, so i *still* need to be quiet)

we're nearing the end of a very intense week. my boss is a little irritated with me... i still have mounds of work to accomplish in 2.5 days... my responsibilities don't end there - i make this solemn vow: i will not volunteer to work next summer, given that i'm already looking forward to it. (sigh...)

lots of things changing in the workplace - three positive personality people are moving out of our building, to be replaced by very very very negative, crazy, and devicive personalities. i'm not looking forward to it, am already anticipating logistical issues... and this might be the very thing to boot me out of my current building after next year. i've been vocal about seeking a change soon - this might be the very ticket. but it makes me tired.

i'm getting my upstairs floors installed this weekend - it'll probably take a little more time than that, but i'm SO EXCITED. the "upstairs" is a finished attic (except it has no wood floors or carpet) There are two huge closets, a hallway, and a bedroom on either end. making this space funcitonal will make me feel so much better - and lighter after moving the designated furniture upstairs soon :)

i start my new summer job after next week, so i already have some things that need to be done in preparation. i'm tired. just want some time to rest. yikes.

did i tell you that my college roommates are coming to visit this summer? i'm thrilled. we try to get together a few times a year - it's been such a blessing having their friendship, even though we're far away.

things i accomplished today:
- took long route to work & picked coworker up for work so she could get her car fixed
- REmailed my state tax return - originally mailed April 5, 2008...after a series of phone calls, i realized but they never received it...hopefully they'll accept a photocopy of my W-2... if not, i'm in big trouble.
- said goodbye to students as today was the last day of school for kids
- watched season finale of Grey's Anatomy
- had a nice phone conversation with a friend
- finished washing dishes - and promised myself not to let things pile up again
- took six 80lb boxes of wood flooring up one flight of stairs....
- took several empty wood boxes outside for trash day
- had a meeting with my boss
- brainstormed with coworkers re: all the building changes next year and how to handle that
- prepared to say goodbye to coworkers leaving
- went to craft store to buy birthday gift for work friend (she wants to learn how to create a mosaic - so i got her some tools & glue - fun)
- wrapped present
- gathered bowl, serving pieces, and a few ingredients for salad for tomorrow's staff lunch
- answered coworker's questions re: how to complete paperwork
- called several parents about upcoming meetings for their children, left messages
- tracked down a parent whose number was disconnected (which took 45 minutes...!)
- stayed up late to make a post because i'm so wired (perhaps it was the caffeinated Mountain Dew drink from earlier...?)

love, rain.
