good morning!
yesterday was a bad day. it's actually still yesterday for me at the moment... i just finished watching tv, and it's 3:43am. BUT, i will have you know that i successfully unpacked 9 boxes containing books (although we all know that heavy books belong in small boxes, so it's not saying that much.) and about 4 boxes of therapy materials... all savely tucked away and organized on shelves in the basement. progress with a capital P. so now i'm ahead of the game for tomorrow - it's time to take control and get my life the way i want it, you know?
that's what i've been doing for the past few years... making plans, having goals, and moving forward to meet them. it's time i remember that.
...took graduate courses this summer... found a house... lost it, fired my agent, found a new house (and new agent), bought it, did some renovations, packed up my old place, moved, fixed up my old place, showing my old place to new buyers... oh, and i worked part time this summer. i've just been go-go-go for a while now, and it's time for me to take control again and STOP. i need to make sure i take time for me... during the week, there are nights i don't get home until 8 or 9, and that's too long. i need home-time. down-time. time with no demands or expectations... i think i'll get a bit of that this week. am trying to be more aware of my evening schedule, and making it work for me.
anyway, thank you for reading these thoughts. i'm currenlty finishing my pumpkin ice cream... it's so yummy, i could eat pumpkin flavored leather and i'd be in heaven (love the cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon combo).
found some fall-painted mini clay loaf pans... i'm planning to make pumpkin bread as favors for my Thanksgiving day guests. that should be fun.
anyway, take care and enjoy your saturday. i'm going to read myself to sleep... in my princess-height bed (yes, i still need a step-stool to climb in... it's entertaining, actually)
perhaps tomorrow i can finish the grill! that's something to look forward to...
