not the kind where you get dressed up and a limo comes to pick you up...
and not the kind loaded with sugar and butter and spices...
it's the kind that sparkel so pretty on your christmas tree!
a friend is coming over in a few minutes to start the season of christmas ball creation. i usually start the friday or saturday after thanksgiving, but it's nice to start a bit early this year... i've got a lot to make this time!
things are better in my world... being out of comission for 3 days, out from work for a period of time, truly helped me gain perspective, and i feel tons better. it's been busy-busy-busy since returning yesterday, and I've had three big meetings where i was a major contributor since wednesday... but thankfully the weekend starts tonight.
i'm getting the electric plug thing fixed so i can finally have my own personal washer/dryer in my new house's basement... hooray! and tomorrow another man is coming to clean my gutters and caulk them - we think they may have been leaking, which contributed to the water/mini-flood/mold issues... the basement smells fine now - perhaps it really will be fixed with a bit of gutter leaf removal :)
things are looking up, there's a bit more color... and i'm feeling a bit busy... stretched, even... but sometimes that's ok. i'm surviving... remember that song? who sang it - from the 60's or 70's. I Will Survive :)
