...just spent 35 minutes trying to turn the computer ON. ...the words "error found on hard disc" are etched in my memory for all time...[sigh]
if you don't hear from me at some point (soon) it's because i couldn't perform CPR on my CPU. just FYI, that's A-OK.
fought with a 5-drawer metal file cabinet... it was the closest non-animate object to punch. apparently it gave a good fight in that particular battle (i know this b/c i needed a bandaid after), but i think i won the war. yup. pretty sure.
had some nice coworkers over yesterday to make jewelry - made a necklace, and i'm thrilled! perhaps one day i'll take a picture.
got the paperwork turned in... the yard signs... and hopefully today sometime my little condo for sale will be on the multiple list service (the ones real estate agents use)
tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day! I'm thrilled. Bread for stuffing is made... the turkey is beginning to thaw in the refrigerator (it's been in there since Saturday night! just this morning, after I warmed the refrigerator slightly last night, did it start to thaw... i have high hopes!)
my father is in a deep, deep depression... he can't talk, or eat... and they had started him on IV fluids for nutrients, but then took him off so they didn't enable him to not eat. i think he's going to the psychiatric ward after he leaves the hospital so they can treat him... because if they send him straight to rehab, i don't think he'll make much progress... since he's almost nonresponsive and all. mom says it's very, very sad. i called him night before last to tell the funny story of the 'midnight mowing'...thought it would cheer him up, but he was just so deep in and it's almost as though it's painful for him to talk/be with others.
so i'm sure something really funny happened yesterday, but can't think of it now. perhaps i'll come across something in my memory file drawer (the non-fighting, passivist one)... if so, i'll pass it along. have a good day - you can do it, whatever it is you want to do :)
