was planning to start the 'bedtime' routine around 7:30 tonight - i was exhausted.
then remembered i wanted to prepare tomorrow's dinner (in a crock pot) which meant i needed to do it tonight instead of tomorrow morning (because we all are familiar with Murphy's Law, and certainly something would have gone wrong... particularly sleeping through the alarm - which would have made tomorrow's dinner frozen pizza instead of healthy/hearty soup)
as i was finishing preparing tomorrow's soup, i called mom to ask about 1) adding rice and 2) if i add rice, need i add additional water?
we talked for an hour
...then i had to clean up the clean dishes so i could wash/set to dry the dishes used for making the hearty dinner meal for tomorrow... and wash dishes from over the weekend.
it took almost an entire CD...well, the length of one anyway.
and now it's near 11pm... and i still want to read a book, be asleep by midnight, and wake up refreshed early at 5:45 so i can get to work early to finish a few things - Mondays are usually a bit hectic.
can i do it? ...perhaps i should drink some wine... the book-reading will go faster, and the sleep will be deeper. yea alcohol!
