but before i do, just wanted to update you on the friend-finding-mission. Yorkshireman came up with an excellent solution... thank you!
in other news, i had a terrific conversation with my department chair this evening (at a work party, which i did not *want* to attend, but decided to go at the last minute). we will be meeting in a few weeks to discuss some career moves within our department, which she fully supports. for some reason, she thinks highly of me! it was encouraging, and will help me move forward through these next few intense weeks.
i've not been posting, as i've been recovering from the day, and conserving energy for the day ahead. for example, i went nowhere this past weekend - friday grocery store for weekend & watched movie. saturday read book and cooked (recoup from previous week). sunday slept and finished book (in preparation of upcoming week).
like my mother always said... "you can't burn a candle from both ends"
