Suits are not for me

Graduation went ok on Weds. It was nice to see my family for a bit, as I don't get home much. We even managed to get my brother to come on the family photo, which was great as we don't really have any other pictures of us all together, not ones that have been taken recently anyway. Don't think I'll be getting dressed up that smart again for a while either.

Quite a few friends have been back in Leeds for graduations. Some of us went out for a meal last night, and caught up a bit. I seem to lose touch with people really easily (maybe they're trying to tell me something) so I enjoyed seeing them all again.

Just read Maus, by Art Spiegelman. It's a graphic novel depicting his father's account of the holocaust. He shows the Jews as mice and the Nazis as cats. It's powerful stuff, takes you through the initial persecutions, into the ghettos, and then on to Auschwitz. It can be difficult to understand some of the things that happened back then, but this book really brings home to you some of the horrible stuff that went on.
