Computers and cooking

Thought my computer was going to die on me today. It kept rebooting itself for no apparent reason. Was getting worried that it might need a new motherboard, but it just turned out to be the main power connector inside that was a bit loose. Shame, I could do with an excuse to buy a new computer. (Had a quick look at a new iMac at a friend's the other day. Very nice)

For the first time ever, I managed to make cheese sauce today. I've never been able to do it before, it always comes out as a horrible mess. It was heading that direction today, and then I got annoyed with it and threw a load more flour and milk in. Worked fine.

Currently trying to make sense of "Cascading Style Sheets: Separating Content from Presentation" by Briggs, Champeon, Costello and Patterson. Might as well get my pathetic attempts at web design to conform to some sort of standards. It's a pretty good book, not often I read stuff like that all the way through. I usually get bored and start a massive project to teach myself as I go along, but I thought I'd better get a proper understanding of this one.

Must go to bed now, cos it's midnight, and I've got a twelve hour day at work tomorrow.
