Alien and I went into town today and on the way back there was a man, who looked to be about late teens / early twentys, having a cig on a fairly narrow bit of pavement that we were walking along. As soon as he saw us he 'crossed' the pavement and stood on the edge of the road to let us pass. I said thank you as we went past, and he replied that 'he didn't want the little one to have to breathe the smoke'.
How nice (and sadly unusual) is that?!!
