Happy St Davids Day
Happy (???) Ash Wednesday
They're silly statements really aren't they. Just like saying 'happy birthday' is. Because it's almost like saying 'you will have a happy day' rather than 'I hope you do'.
There was no sign at all anywhere of it being St Davids Day today.
But then, I'm in England. Why should there be?
