Where do you do your food shopping?

I went to Tescos last night, because it was late and I was too tired to go to Asda which is where we usually go.

Tescos is so utterly crap it's unreal. Or at least, that particular one is. We used to go there, but it got more and more rubbish. The staff are unfriendly. The use by dates on most of the food are only a few days before getting to them. They don't have half the stuff we want either.

The only one good thing being that bunches of organic bananas were reduced to 6p!!

We've started going regularly to Asda. It's a big Asda and has everything you could possibly want in it, and many things you don't want. It's got clothes, food, hardward, DVDs / CDs, gardening stuff, shoes, film processing to name a few things. The staff are consistantly really friendly and helpful. So much so that I actually went and told their customer services manager just how impressed I am with them!! Every single time we're in there, we always get a friendly check-out person. They'll chat if you want, or just scan the stuff if you'd rather. It's just so, nice!!

We used to go to another Tescos, but the fruit and veg wasn't very good. Then we went to Sainsburys for a while, cos their fruit and veg was gorgeous. But it was always quite a bit more expensive. We very occasionally (as a special treat) go to Waitrose, which I love, but despite most things not being more expensive (which you'd expect) I always end up buying far more than we need cos it all looks so tasty. So it's mainly Asda. Oh, and there's a Budgens in the other town we sometimes go to, and that's really crap!!

Tescos and Sainsburys deliver to our door. Waitrose and Budgens are thinking about it. And one day Asda might manage it too.

I cannot believe how long a post I've just written about my supermarket habits. How boring am I?!?!
