Alien spends a lot of time walking round with things in her mouth. Anything really. Whatever she comes across. Not necessarily to bite or eat it, just as an alternative way to hold things rather than in her hand.
Today I discovered that it's just that she's copying me. I know she keeps copying stuff I do, but I didn't realise that this was another thing she was copying.
While walking to the squash courts today, I had my shorts in my mouth. While walking back to the car afterwards, I had my water bottle in my mouth. If I'm using a pen, the safest place to put it so I don't lose it, is in my mouth.
It makes sense to me. I have free hands then.
