I went to the opening evening of the The Wychwood Festival last night. Mainly to go and see Levellers. I don't think I have ever danced as manically as I did last night. Not even in drunken states. And cos I had to drive home, I'd had nothing to drink. They were totally awesome. Utterly brilliant. Wicked. Also a real blast from the past. I used to listen to them all the time at uni, but had never seem them live.
The other two bands of note which I saw (and never heard of before last night) were Heavy Load and Band from County Hell. Both of them were brilliant. I bought a CD of Band from County Hell cos they were so good, and the worlds biggest beachball fight just added to the whole atmosphere in the Heavy Load set!! Completely brilliant!
