Welcome to my blog! This is only the beginning.... I hope to use this blog as a place to process thoughts, inspiration, books etc related to children's work and my journey as a children's worker the struggles and the joys.

I currently work for a church in Wolverhampton as a Children's and Families worker, which I thoroughly enjoy, involving outreach, schools work, Carers and toddlers, Art Nights, holiday clubs etc. I guess you'll find out more about m as I blog...

Feel free to leave your comments, share experiences and ideas. One of the things that I have been musing about over the last 18 months is how we encourage and teach children to have a relationship with God. It's very easy to teach and for them to have a huge knowledge of facts but if it's not applied and doesn't develop into a personal relationship with God then its just facts like facts on georgraphy apart from those facts are seeds which may flourish at any point during life. So the question I'm asking is: 'Is faith taught or caught?' There are so many different elements that come into this. I'm currently writing a dissertation on this so more to come!

I hope that if you're involved in children's work or have a passion for seeing children reached that this would be an encouragement for you, and we could work together to reach today's children.

Blessings
