In a weeks time....

I will just about have completed my first day in Macedonia! I'm so excited and can't wait to see Kole!

I'm not sure the weeks going to be much of a holiday, it'll be intense and a real challenge to live in a culture where I don't understand the language and have no mission team to fall back on. The week already looks jam packed full, Kole's definately made sure I won't get bored while he's at work. So far I'm doing a couple of Kid's clubs with Carol the missionary out there, a couple of morning's in the soup kitchen, and an english lesson in one of the schools. Then there's friends I want to catch up with, Kole's extended family to meet, Macedonian to learn and that's all before Kole and I have those all important chats we want to have.

A lots riding on this week really, it's almost make or break time. We're both pretty adament that we're doing the right thing by being in this relationship but we both want the opportunity to talk more and to pray it through. So what we're looking for is confirmation. There's so much to talk about that you can't talk about on skype so easily, things like our past, how we'll handle the cultural differences, what we want individually and together in our future, and loads of practical stuff like visas and finances. Because of the distance and the cultural differences we have to be so sure that this is what God wants cos it is always going to be hard work.

But God's promise is there: 'For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future...You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'
Jeremiah 29:11,13
