Today I (and a team of volunteers) took some of the kids to the Thinktank museum in Birmingham. It was so much fun, I'd recommend it for a day out whatever age you are. It's a science museum thats very hands on, with a mini city where you can play in the garage, dentist, ambulance or cafe etc. The best bit is there are phones that connect the different places so you can phone each other. In the 5mins I was in the cafe I was given a meal and then charged £250! It also explains how recycling works, has a natural history section, a steam section, a planetarium and a body section. In the body section there's a button attached to a model of a heart and when you hold the button down the heart moves at the same time as your own heart, its just a little freaky. Anyway the kids enjoyed it. I only had one throw up on the coach and one wander off so it wasn't too traumatic a day. In honesty I loved the mini city the best and was probably the biggest kid there cunningly disguised by playing photographer and taking lots of pics!
