I decided when I moved into my flat that I wasn't going to get a telly. For the amount it costs per month to pay for the license I noticed I could buy all sorts of exciting things. The problem is now I'm bored, I'm spending too much time on the internet and I'm not inclined to watch many of my films *again* save the ones I've leant out.
I know I should be sorting the washing, doing the washing up and cleaning the flat but I'm tired and disillusioned so need some escapism. I think the telly is just an excuse and I'm sure I'll get used to it but the radio gets so boring. I hear the same programmes again and again. Okay, it's not as bad as when I was a student. I used to manage to hear things on the radio and on the World Service, then the repeats on each meaning if I was really unlucky I would hear the same programme 4 times. At least now it's only two or three times.
I think I might go and read something.
