...Ok, here is my problem. Yesterday I wrote a document on my computer at home that I need today, so I wrote my draft and emailed it to my work email address. All fine so far.
I arrive at work and and pleased that the file was waiting for me in in inbox, but when I try and open it I realise it is an "unkown format", In fact it is a format that I use all the time, and not unknown to me at all - an OpenOffice.sxw file.
Now my problem is that I really could do with opening this file today at some point, as I need to tidy it up and have it on someones desk later. The security system here won't let me download OpenOffice, and I can't find any program on this PC that will make it anything less than gobbledegook.
I could drive home, send it again, and drive back in...
Or... would it be possible to send someone the file today, so that they can convert it to a Word document, and then send it back to me?
So please, if you have OpenOffice and can help leave me a comment... I will buy you a pint.
