Mr Motivator...

...Excitement at work on Thursday when we had the afternoon to hear a speaker come to motivate us. After arriving 20 minutes late (very professional) and being blasted with feedback from the PA speakers (Thanks JB for theat) he gave us two hours of "motivational" talk mixed with some lame humour. We were told that all he would tell us would help us at home as well as work (well the cat is going to be pleased) and then talked to us all at his level - i.e. A middle aged, middle class married man with kids who works on the road.

I won't rant too much about what he said, but it could have been titled "How to live an inauthentic life" or "how to fake happiness". In fact I was so depressed by the end of the talk I went home and had a glass of wine, the next morning I was still so down I had to book the day off work. Very motivational.

It would be cruel to mention the guys name, so I won't.
