Films and CDs

After recovering from a heavy, but winning, night of poker we went for Pizza at Bar Veniza on the quay (lovely sweet base, but we ordered pizzas a little to big) and then seeing Ruth and The Hard Place Band at Havana. Sunday morning was spent in Georges Meeting House eating a 99p fried breakfast (bargain) and being shocked how many people were drinking pints of beer or wine on a Sunday morning...

Bought 2 very cheap CDs (Athletes first and Manics latest) and then watched the film Heartlands, which is a very bleak look at northern English life, with happy moments countable on one hand. Was a great story though and actually humourous in a dark and sad way. The music from Kate Rusby tipped it from being a glorified TV drama to quite a good film.

Also watched the end of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon again, but with subtitles on this time as it is so much better than the dubbing.

Was woken in the night by an annoying buzzing about 3am... never got to the bottom of what it was, I will have to ask my housemates later if they heard it.
