...Finally saw Hidden(Cache) last night, wow it is confusing! It is all very dark and lots of suspense that never really comes to anything, then it just seems to end leaving everything untied. We just dont find out anything, perhaps that's why it is called "Hidden". I asked the staff at the cinema if they could explain it, but none of them could! That made me feel a bit better about myself.
A trawl of the internet seems to suggest that much of the film has no expaination, and that the point of the film is to not work out who "did it" and "what happened", but rather it has some other, perhaps political (French-Algerian relations? racism?) hidden meanings.
Certainly interesting!
Saw a trailer for Thank you for Smoking, now that does look a good film, and one I might even understand...
