...and so we continue, this time films in the cinema that failed to live up to expectations. Not the worse films so much, some in the list are OK, but the ones that I thought I would love but just missed the mark.
Most disapointing films of 2006
5. Pirates of the Carribian: Dead mans chest (I like the first one, I really do, but this had too many monsters and near shipwrecks for any one movie, and then you find out it is only really half a movie anyway, despite being half an hour too long)
4. A Scanner Darkly (The trailer looked so interesting, but the story turned out not to be so)
3. Little Children (The reviews sounded interesting, the cast looked good, the trailer great, but it turned out to be an over long mess that seemed to lose pace and direction.)
2. The History Boys (Felt like a play on a big flat screen, which is exactly what it was)
1. Paradise Now (This could have been a great view into the motive of a suicide bomber, could have said a lot about humans, belief, brainwashing, expections, the people of Palastine. But it was just boring, relying far too much on long speeches and not enough on character.)
