...watched Requiem for a Dream last night, really enjoyed it and was made better through listening through headphones, the sound and the music really is excellent. My housemate (who I borrowed it from) said he found it really disgusting and grim, but I did not find it that explicit (apart from one injection). Essentially the film is about the destructive power of drugs, so thematically it's not that cheery, but it is so beautifully made that I actaully felt quite uplifted!
Going to watch that new Chinese film tomorrow night, I keep forgetting the name of it, but know it contains the words flower, curse and a colour of some sort!
