...Yesterday was raining, not good. But when I put on my waterproof coat in the morning I found £10 in the pocket. Good!
I have not bought a CD since The Shins, and that was ages ago. I have mostly been relying on the Radio and the free CDs on ClassicFM magazine to keep me entertained, but I decided that this £10 would be spent on a CD. In the end I purchased Jesse Malin - Glitter in the gutter, on the strength of one song, and I am pleased to say that I really like it.
I watched Jarhead last night, I don't like war films, but I do like Sam Mendes, and it was actually pretty good, the depiction of the boredom of waiting in the desert while nothing happens, and the desperation just to fire a bullet is really well done.
