... We went to see After the Wedding last night at the Picturehouse. It is a Danish film about a guy who is an aid worker in India, and has to come back to Denmark to get more funding for his project. It is then that it all gets confusing, motives are hard to guess at and it gets quite heavy. the trailer to the film makes it look like it is going to be a nice romantic story with some infidelity thrown in, it is nothing like this!
It is a really excellent film though, once all my expectations of what is was going to be had been thrown aside, really well acted, nicely paced and tasteful use of music, bothe strings and Indian music. Essentially it is a film about good people trying to do the right thing in awful circumstances.
