...Last day of work today, we had a lot of staff in today, so I did not need to do much work, but it was still exhausting - I think it was the emotional strain more than anything, kept thinking "This will be the last time I ever do this", and having to say goodbye to people (I have never been good at saying goodbye).
Some people gave me cards, and some cake was bought for the occasion.
Had to do lots of strange things like take my name off the list of sections on the computer that I was responsible for ordering, Deleting my "Favourites" on the Internet computer at work, Emptying my file and my locker, looking around for things that I own that have just ended up in the shop (Radio, things on pinboard, books, magazines).
Then, I locked the door for the last time and left, to go straight away to help be a waiter at our Churches Magic show and meal. That all went well, despite the magician being involved in a car crash on the way to Exeter. The cook was wonderful (how can one person cook for over 50 people???) and a good time seemed to be had by all.
