After a short break at my mothers (an internet free zone) and a return to other things I realised I hadn't updated my blog for a while - so here goes.

Winchester was quiet and restful, apart from Monday when I had to get up early because mother had the decorator in to finish the hall and stairs. we decided to head for Portsmouth and had a good browse round the shops, as well as a walk along the sea front at Southsea. There were a few quiet moments as we looked out across the Solent to where Dad's ashes are buried, but it becomes less upsetting as time passes - just good memories.

Monday evening I escaped to a pub quiz at St James' Tavern (held every Monday, very popular, free to enter). A team of 2, but we still managed to come 6th! Thanks Angela!!!

I returned to London on Tuesday and had a lazy day off on Wednesday - catching up on washing and being pampered at the hairdressers with my usual pub quiz in the evening. Didn't winn anything as we came neither first nor last - but who cares?

Back to w*rk on Thursday. My supervisor had very kindly registered all the invoices for 3 days (all except the more complicated ones). I did check whether they'd been registered to the right departments though (well, he doesn't do it that often...). Therre was still a lot to catch up on though - in facts lots to do and so little time to do it.

Saturday mother came up to London - well Kingston actually - and we spent time browsing shops, having lunch and drinking coffee. She enjoyed it - and liked the place but not the litter (someone had been throwing MacDonald's serviettes around). it had changed quite a lot since she'd last been there (which was before she met my father so that's over 50 years ago!)

Back to today and the church AGM - and I'm on the DCC again. From what I've offered to do so far this computer is going to have a shock as it's going to be used for more than emails and games.

When will I learn not to "volunteer"?

It's back to w*rk tomorrow - why aren't there more days in a weekend?
