Colours

When I went to the Ideal Home Exhibition 3 weeks ago I decided to have my make up done by "Colour Me Beautiful" as they were doing 15 minute makeovers for free (with the chance to buy their products of course). After queuing for what seemed hours (well less than an hour but to my feet it felt like more) I took my place on the stool in front of a large theatre style mirror - one with all the lightbulbs round it.

I was questioned about my natural hair colour (greying mouse that even a mouse would dye) and the colour of my eyes (debatable green, so she opted for hazel) and skin colour (rosy - though it was warm in there).

She then pronounced me as "soft" and showed me a few of the shade I should wear. To say salmon pink and olive green are my favourite colours would be lying - so much so that my nose would reach from here, around the world, and be poking me in the back. She definitely saw the reaction and backed off.

In fact after doing my make-up (which did look good I must admit) she did say I looked good - and the colours I was wearing (shades of purple) which are so me but which I should avoid (according to her analysis) suited me more once the full slap was on.

Note to self - wear make up more often.
