Exorcising ghosts

I'm feeling fragile.

Strange that I haven't a hangover despite drinking at least 5 pints on when I'd only eaten 2 slices of toast yesterday. But I do feel physically wrecked.

Emotionally I'm shattered. I didn't get the job - they gave it to someone who could use the computer package but had less experience that I did. The cheek is that they've put them on a 1 month trial because of their lack of accounts and payroll knowledge and have told my agency they'll see if I'm still available if it doesn't work out.

I'm also shattered because another boundary got pushed last night, with the result than memories have been revived (my ghosts).

At the pub I found myself talking about my past marital situation - especially domestic abuse - without being ashamed of it.

Then circumstances meant that I revisited the area in which we lived. It was frightening to be so near from somewhere I'd never wanted to go back to. Travelling back we touched the limit of where I felt safe. But those around me protected and reassured me.

Sometimes we have to revisit the past to exorcise the ghosts.
